TL;DR

Senior Business Development Manager (Fintech): Drive growth for hirify.global's POS/Retail Finance across regional and national retailers, owning the mid-market tier and new vertical expansion. Focus on acquiring retailers with strong revenue potential, identifying cross-sell opportunities with the payments team, and closing significant deals.

Location: Hybrid role based in Manchester, UK, with occasional visits to the London office. Candidates must be able to work 2-3 days a week from the Manchester office. Option to work from abroad for up to 120 days a year, subject to right to work in the country of choice.

What you will do

  • Own mid-market vertical acquisition for POS/Retail Finance.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of outbound-sourced opportunities.
  • Develop and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) tactics for assigned verticals.
  • Collaborate with Strategic BDMs and the payments sales team on market knowledge and cross-sell.
  • Close high-impact deals (average £5m+ GMV, growing toward £10m+ in 2026/27).
  • Educate merchants on the value of integrated retail finance and contribute market insights to product planning.

Requirements

  • Track record of building self-generated pipeline and converting outbound opportunities.
  • Experience selling POS/Retail Finance, payments, or financial services into mid-market retailers.
  • Comfortable engaging senior commercial and operational decision-makers.
  • Commercially minded and curious, with an interest in testing new GTM ideas.
  • Ability to manage a mix of long and short sales cycles and prioritise effectively.
  • Persistent and outcomes-focused, with a track record of delivering against growth targets.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring attendance at the Manchester office 2-3 days a week.
