What you will do

  • Research, design, and validate algorithms for circuit simulation, rare-event estimation, and mathematical optimization.
  • Quantify accuracy and performance metrics against current baselines using rigorous statistical analysis.
  • Develop robust, maintainable implementations and integrate them into production toolchains.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to bridge the gap between deep mathematical theory and practical software application.
  • Document methodologies, research results, and technical designs for team review.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in applied mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field (e.g., CS with strong math focus).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform literature reviews and translate complex theory into innovative, real-world solutions.
  • Expertise in statistical inference, Monte Carlo methods, and uncertainty quantification.
  • Understanding of optimization techniques, numerical analysis, or differential equations.
  • Experience in software development, with a preference for Python and C++.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience in machine learning, specifically Gaussian processes, surrogate modeling, or contemporary AI (Transformers/GNNs).
  • Background in scientific computing, fluid/thermal dynamics, or EDA tools like SPICE/Spectre.
  • HPC and parallel computing knowledge (MPI, CUDA).

Culture & Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP).
  • Paid vacation and designated company holidays.
  • Environment focused on solving high-impact, technologically challenging problems.
