Senior Software Engineer/Research Scientist (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Apply mathematical and engineering knowledge to develop advanced algorithms in probability, statistics, estimation theory, machine learning, graph theory, and optimization.
• Design, develop, and maintain C++ software applications using object-oriented principles in Linux environments.
• Prototype algorithms and solutions using MATLAB, Python, and TensorFlow for AI/ML and data processing.
• Use GitLab, Docker, and Podman for version control, containerization, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and evaluate systems to improve performance.
• Collaborate with customers and teams for technical leadership and business development.

Requirements

• B.S. in engineering, mathematics, or related; 10+ years engineering experience
• US Citizen able to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance
• Sufficient math/engineering for advanced algorithms (probability, statistics, estimation, ML, graph theory, optimization)
• Expertise in C++ (Linux preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and interpersonal skills for customer/team interactions

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or experience in tracking/fusion, probabilistic reasoning, ML/DL
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• OOP design, MATLAB/Python/TensorFlow, GitLab/Docker/Podman experience
• Program management, technical leadership, communication skills
