What you will do

• Advocate for patients, understanding their health goals, motivations, behaviors, and barriers.
• Plan and conduct user research, partnering with research and clinical specialists.
• Analyze research findings and health outcomes to identify opportunities, translating these into product ideas.
• Create design artifacts such as service blueprints, user flows, prototypes, and interface designs.
• Work openly and collaboratively with product, design, engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams.
• Support the definition of success metrics, combining clinical outcomes with user engagement and retention.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, able to share design rationale clearly with diverse teams.
• Deep patient empathy and the ability to represent patient needs, fears, and goals throughout the design process.
• A growth mindset that embraces feedback, continuous learning, and iteration.
• Understanding of the broader healthcare context, including subscription models, regulated care pathways, and coaching services.
• A structured, process-driven approach that moves from research and insight to ideation, prototyping, testing, and delivery.
• Attention to detail and craft, particularly where design affects comprehension, trust, and safety.

Nice to have

• Leading mixed-method healthcare research, balancing usability, behavioral science and ethical considerations.
• Comfort working with product metrics and clinical outcomes data to turn insights into design action.
• Experience designing content-heavy flows or regulated messaging that supports motivation, trust, and compliance.
