Senior Data Analyst (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Data Analyst (Fintech): Delivering insights into current risks and the likelihood and impact of those risks for hirify.global and its customers with an accent on risk policies, limits, rules, alerts, and dashboards. Focus on identifying new approaches and data sources to better understand various forms of risk, and collaborating with operations, product, and engineering teams for implementation.

Location: Employees in the NYC area are asked to work from our SoHo office three days a week.

Salary: $130,000 - $165,000 plus equity.

What you will do

• Deep dive into trends and provide data-driven insights to identify and predict risky behavior.
• Develop customer and program segmentation frameworks for proportionate monitoring.
• Identify rule criteria, test and validate rule output, and report on portfolio and rule performance.
• Create dashboards to monitor performance across relevant metrics and create alerts for anomalies.
• Identify new data sources to better understand risks and partner with operations, product, and engineering teams to implement them.

Requirements

• 2+ years in financial services risk, fraud, or compliance roles.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills using large datasets.
• Expert SQL skills; experience with dbt and Python preferred.
• Experience building reusable, well-documented analyses and comfort with analytics engineering practices.
• Experience creating performance monitoring dashboards using Metabase, Looker, or similar BI tools.
• Outstanding communication and influence skills for collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
