TL;DR

Database Administrator: Managing and optimizing the organization's database systems to ensure data integrity, security, and performance with an accent on rigorous performance testing and SQL script approval. Focus on maintaining database availability and performance within top-tier SLAs and proactively monitoring and optimizing server performance.

Location: Hybrid (Manchester, London or Bristol, UK). You’ll spend a minimum of 50% of your working time per month in the office. For new team members, an initial period will be full-time in the office.

• Keeping database availability and performance within top-tier SLAs.
• Proactively monitoring and optimising server performance.
• Resolving complex database challenges independently and implementing upgrades.
• Maintaining rigorous database access control and ensuring robust backup operations.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience administering databases.
• SQL Server Clustering, Replication and High Availability.
• Proven track record in SQL Server database performance tuning.
• Experience in upgrading and migrating legacy systems.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Strong analytical ability to dissect complex processes.
