TL;DR

Sql Server Dba (Fintech): Manage and maintain a large-scale SQL Server environment for a financial services client with an accent on database management and administration activities. Focus on query optimization, index management, and implementing automated alerting.

Location: Must be in the office 4 days per week in London.

Salary: £80,000-£110,000 + Bonus

What you will do

• Manage and maintain a large scale SQL Server environment.
• Monitor, backup, and restore databases.
• Optimize queries and stored procedures, including index optimization.
• Implement automated alerting and ensure database security best practices.
• Work with developers and participate in projects.
• Provide occasional out-of-hours support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, ideally within Financial Services.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and newer.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, query optimization, and index management.
• Experience with High Availability / Disaster Recovery (AlwaysOn, Clustering etc.).
• Experience with performance monitoring (Profiler, Extended Events etc.).

Nice to have

• Experience with SSRS / SSIS / SSAS.
• Knowledge of PowerShell.
• Experience with Microsoft Managed SQL Instance (Azure).
• Familiarity with C#.
• Knowledge of Python.
