What you will do

• Lead, hire, mentor, and develop engineering teams, fostering a high-performing culture.
• Shape technical direction and set standards for quality, scalability, and delivery speed.
• Ensure robustness, maintainability, and operational excellence of team software.
• Promote Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices and healthy code review processes.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to assess feasibility and prioritize backlog.
• Guide system architecture and software design, encouraging innovation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of proven leadership managing software engineering teams (hiring, mentoring, performance).
• Previous hands-on Software Engineer experience (Java and/or modern frontend web technologies) for team credibility.
• Strong track record delivering projects with technical excellence and timely execution.
• Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Fluent German and English (spoken/written).

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating in-house development with external/outsourced partners.
• Product collaboration experience.
