What you will do

• Manage and coach a group of 8+ software engineers, holding them accountable to best practices and their growth plans.
• Partner with discipline and product leadership to develop strategies for improving team health and effectiveness.
• Champion a balance between short-term and long-term product and technical needs through prototyping.
• Be accountable for the technical health of the product and actively participate in its implementation.
• Build healthy relationships with other engineering teams at Riot to foster cross-team collaboration.
• Champion sourcing and hiring processes to identify and hire engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience managing development teams.
• 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• 2+ years developing game features with at least 1 shipped game title.
• 5+ years of experience with hands-on gameplay implementation.
• Experience managing engineers and actively participating in their growth and development.
• Expertise in C++.

• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Experience shipping and live supporting a modern MMO.
• Experience leading an engineering team in early concept and prototyping.
• Experience leading cross-discipline teams in prototyping.
• Experience leading content/game engine support teams.
