What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and strategic partners.
• Advise business leaders, sales management, and product teams on commercial, legal, and regulatory issues.
• Assist in updating and streamlining legal templates and documentation for improved usability and consistency.
• Collaborate with Information Security, Product, Technology, Sales, and other Business Units to support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (or equivalent law degree) and eligibility to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in the Americas region.
• 5–8 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law, with exposure to technology and/or financial services.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial technology contracts for global businesses.
• Experience advising business teams on commercial, legal, and regulatory issues.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex legal concepts for diverse, non-legal audiences.

Nice to have

• Admission or eligibility to practice in Newfoundland & Labrador or Ontario.
• Familiarity with data privacy and cybersecurity law, and AI technology.
• Experience using contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms.
• Background in financial services, fintech, or highly regulated industries.
