Salary: C$112,200–C$143,600 per year

What you will do

• Work closely with Lighting, Lookdev, and CG Supervisors to determine best approaches and develop final looks.
• Create efficient rendering setups to optimize render farm usage.
• Stay on schedule and meet deadlines while maintaining high work quality.
• Help mentor junior artists within the Lighting/Look Dev team.
• Create and maintain custom hero materials and complex shading networks with artist usability in mind.
• Perform shot Look Dev tasks and collaborate with model, texture, and groom artists.

Requirements

• Degree and/or professional training in Computer Graphics, with advanced work experience in VFX.
• Demo reel required, including a breakdown of responsibilities for each shot.
• Exhibit excellent listening and communication skills, able to receive direction and criticism.
• Demonstrated ability to help and teach more junior-level artists.
• Thorough knowledge of the VFX pipeline from modeling through texturing, grooming, rendering, and compositing.
• Proficiency in Linux-based systems.

Nice to have

• Katana and Renderman experience.
• Knowledge of Python.
