What you will do
- Develop and refine engineering strategy as a key member of the engineering leadership group.
- Manage a large team of engineers and oversee core processes and technology areas.
- Collaborate across the business to build product value through launches, partner integrations, and platform improvements.
- Lead the delivery of cross-functional projects, ensuring smooth execution and continuous improvement.
- Influence prioritization of work and strategic amendments for maximum impact.
- Manage multiple direct reports and mentor new managers transitioning into line management.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- At least 2 years of leadership and management experience.
- Fluency in and opinionated on JavaScript frameworks (specifically Angular) or Python.
- Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, AWS, and SQL.
- Confidence in using technical expertise to influence key decisions about product and system design.
- Comfortable working through ambiguous problems with a high degree of autonomy.
