TL;DR

Sales Engineer (AI): Partnering with account executives to secure new business by providing technical expertise for an AI & Data Context Platform with an accent on understanding customer needs, building tailored demos, and educating prospects on product value and implementation. Focus on driving sales growth by demonstrating SaaS capabilities and ensuring a smooth transition to customer success.

Location: Remote (East Coast, US). Must be based in the US due to specific benefits (Carrot Fertility program for U.S. employees) and implied location restrictions.

What you will do

  • Partner with account executives from start to finish to help secure new business.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and gather requirements.
  • Build and present demos and presentations tailored to specific customer needs.
  • Educate prospects on product implementation, value analysis, security, and compliance.
  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate closely with the product team to enhance product offerings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, preferably in a B2B SaaS or open-source software company.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in software development, databases, networking, and cloud computing.
  • Experience demonstrating software solutions to enterprise-level clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers and prospects and to understand their business needs.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with open-source software and the open-source community.
