Staff Engineer (Frontend): Leading the engineering direction and execution of hirify.global’s design system across web and mobile with an accent on consistency, accessibility, and high-quality user experience. Focus on driving the contribution model, improving developer experience through tooling and automation, and coaching engineers in the frontend community.

What you will do

Set technical direction for Telescope, hirify.global’s design system, including architecture, component standards, and release practices.
Drive and evolve the contribution model and how teams interact with Design Systems.
Improve the developer and contributor experience through tooling and automation, focusing on visual testing and workflows.
Lead rituals that keep the team effective and aligned.
Represent Design Systems in cross-team initiatives and align stakeholders across Design and Engineering.
Coach and mentor engineers, and help grow technical leadership in the frontend community.

Requirements

Experience building and maintaining component libraries or platform-like products.
Solid experience with TypeScript and modern frontend engineering (React experience is a plus).
Experience designing maintainable systems with clear boundaries, versioning, and backwards compatibility.
Strong testing practices and tooling (unit, integration, end-to-end) and a strong quality mindset.
Experience with accessibility and performance best practices for UI systems.
Experience collaborating with designers and product engineers, and navigating tradeoffs across stakeholders.
