Director, Financial Services Platforms (Fintech): Responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of FreshBook’s Payroll platform and other Financial Services product offerings with an accent on delivering growth and operational excellence across partnerships, platform performance, and customer adoption. Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada, requiring in-office attendance up to twice a week.
Salary: CA$145,000–CA$182,000 annually, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Financial Services Platforms, aligning with company goals.
- Manage the functional operating budget and monitor financial performance (P&L ownership).
- Oversee day-to-day commercial operations, focusing on efficiency, compliance, and quality.
- Build and manage relationships with Financial Service Platforms providers and partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and CX teams to achieve business results.
- Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing commercial team.
- Embed customer-centric thinking and leverage data to improve customer experiences.
- Provide clear communication and insights to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of senior leadership experience in SaaS, FinTech, or technology-enabled financial services.
- Proven end-to-end ownership of financial platforms (payments, payroll, lending).
- Demonstrated P&L or equivalent financial accountability and budget management.
- Strong leadership, including business development, negotiation, and vendor management.
- Ability to lead through change, scale teams, and transform operating models.
- Executive-level communication and judgment to influence senior stakeholders.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada; no work authorization, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship offered.

- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
