Lead Designer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; in-person culture

Salary: $160,000–$250,000 per year plus equity, depending on experience

What you will do

• Lead design across the company and report directly to the CEO.
• Redesign hirify.global with a modern design system and incrementally reduce design debt.
• Improve social investing experiences so investors feel emotionally connected to the companies and ideas they support.
• Support engineers with design guidance and raise the quality bar across product development.
• Build AI-assisted design operations, including prompts, guardrails, review workflows, and model training for the design system.
• Research the needs of founders and investors and use judgment to balance data-driven decisions with design taste.

Requirements

• Experience designing for fintech, marketplaces, or products where trust and clarity are essential.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating minimalism, simplicity, pixel-perfect execution, and thoughtful micro-animations.
• Ability to prototype with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, Codex, or Replit.
• Ability to write and submit basic HTML and CSS code to a Git repository.
• Strong user focus and interest in learning from both founders and investors.
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco.

• Founder experience or a strong personal connection to the problem being solved.
