Distributed Systems Engineer - Data Platform (Delivery, Database, Retrieval)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems processing very large data volumes.
• Develop backend services and data platform components primarily in Go.
• Improve data integrity, delivery latency, query performance, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Implement backpressure, retries, idempotency, replication, and graceful degradation for safe failure handling.
• Define service-level objectives, monitor production health, plan capacity, and respond to incidents.
• Build ClickHouse clusters, streaming pipelines, GraphQL APIs, log delivery integrations, and near real-time alerting systems.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional software engineering experience with backend, infrastructure, database, or distributed-data systems.
• Strong Go skills or substantial systems programming experience with Rust or C++ and the ability to become productive in Go.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, debugging, and operating production services, including capacity planning and incident response.
• Understanding of concurrency, consistency, fault tolerance, partitioning, and data integrity.
• Experience with high-throughput or low-latency data processing and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Demonstrated depth in database systems or data delivery and retrieval, including analytical databases, streaming systems, data pipelines, APIs, or customer-facing integrations.

Nice to have

• ClickHouse or another large-scale analytical database.
• Kafka, Flink, GraphQL, Terraform, Salt, Docker, Kubernetes, or Linux container technologies.
• Contributions to open-source database or distributed-systems projects.
