Lead Engineer (Cloud Engineering)

What you will do

• Design, maintain, and expand infrastructure as code (IaaC).
• Oversee systems and resources for alerting, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Work jointly with other software engineering teams in building fault-tolerant and resilient services.
• Improve the performance and durability of CI/CD pipelines.
• Think with security in mind at all times.
• Provide on-call assistance for engineering projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
• Ability to design and implement highly automated and holistic solutions.
• Act as a tech lead for the team and possess a strong ability to lead by example and drive projects.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud-provider (preferably AWS) by maintaining or deploying production applications infrastructure.
• Significant experience with distributed systems and container orchestration (specifically Kubernetes deployments).
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IAC), preferably using Terraform or Crossplane composition.
• Scripting knowledge in Python/Ruby/Bash and hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk or Grafana.
