TL;DR

Location: Remote, US-based, but not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA. Travel may be required occasionally for project or team in-person meetings.

Salary: $155,520 - $228,700 (USD) depending on location.

What you will do

• Design and implement a formal analytics data layer using AWS Glue, Presto, and LookML.
• Collaborate with Data Science & Analytics, Product & Engineering to define and maintain metric definitions and data lineage.
• Develop and maintain automated data reconciliation and quality checks.
• Lead investigations into complex data anomalies and conduct root cause analysis.
• Mentor and guide data team members on best practices in data modeling, testing, documentation, and code review.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Advanced expertise in SQL and hands-on experience designing data models and orchestrating data pipelines using AWS Glue or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to codify and reconcile critical business metrics.
• Proven track record of owning ambiguous projects from beginning to end with minimal guidance.
• Strong technical communication and mentorship skills.
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Intermediate expertise in Python, distributed computing technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark), and dashboarding tools (Looker, Tableau).
• Proven track record of implementing robust data quality and testing frameworks (dbt tests, CI/CD, data observability).
• Experience evangelizing and establishing data culture and best practices.
