What you will do

• Design and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Spark.
• Implement and maintain enterprise-scale data infrastructure, including Data Lake and SQL integrations.
• Drive data quality, governance, and metadata management initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data models and support analytical requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce engineering best practices for reproducibility and maintainability.
• Support CI/CD pipeline development and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering with significant hands-on work in cloud-based platforms (Azure).
• 5+ years of advanced proficiency in Azure (Data Lake, ADF, SQL), Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Strong expertise in SQL (10+ years) and Python (5+ years).
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineering team members.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Familiarity with Scala.
• Exposure to machine learning integration within data engineering pipelines.
