Location: Must be based in the United States. Role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid work centered in New York, NY or Charlotte, NC. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

Salary: $100,000 – $210,000 per year

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure using Databricks and AWS.
• Audit and document existing pipelines to improve reliability and data quality.
• Integrate third-party data sources and APIs into the platform.
• Partner with BI and analytics teams to translate business needs into scalable data models.
• Develop automated workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
• Collaborate on privacy-safe data sharing solutions and secure data exchange methods.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering experience designing large-scale solutions.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and AWS cloud services.
• Understanding of data modeling, ELT/ETL design, and distributed systems.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship or transfer available.
• Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Airflow.
• Experience supporting BI platforms such as Looker.
