TL;DR

Public Cloud Senior DevOps Engineer (Google Cloud): Designs and develops features and improvements to cloud products and services, focusing on writing and reviewing Infrastructure as Code and automating processes using AI. Location: Must spend at least two days per week (or 40% of your time) at the location in Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax & Leeds

Salary: £72,702 - £109,053

What you will do

• Write and review Infrastructure as Code ensuring it has been written securely.
• Operationally support existing products including incidents and inbound customer requests.
• Develop and test new features for existing products.
• Automate and utilise AI to drive efficient and cost-effective products for our customers.
• Identify opportunities for improvements in our products and services.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and inclusion.

Requirements

• A subject matter expert in at least one of our products or technology types (eg. Firewalls). Be able to learn quickly on the job whilst building new skills and technological knowledge around other products.
• Ensure that any code or solutions are built in line with our security standards and industry best practice.
• Ability to listen, reflect and respect the views of others as well as being able to communicate your own opinion.
• Understand the business area to facilitate the best solution design with team members and product owners.
• Experience with agile development methods & tooling e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence, and experience of working as part of an agile team.
• Experience of DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
