Location: Currently, staff are expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time. San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY.

Salary: $240,000 - $270,000 USD

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to understand startup requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Win technical evaluations by demonstrating Claude's value.
• Build technical credibility with founders and engineering teams.
• Gather insights on startup building patterns and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
• Travel to customer sites and industry conferences for workshops and relationship building.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer).
• Experience working with startups or high-growth technology companies.
• Strong builder credibility as a software engineer or technical founder.
• Deep technical proficiency with building and scaling AI products.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in production.
• Strong technical communication skills to translate AI concepts.

Nice to have

• Track record of selling technical products in competitive markets.
• Comfortable with Python and familiarity with common LLM frameworks, tools, and integration patterns.
