TL;DR
Senior Google Cloud Engineer (GCP): Designing, implementing, and managing Google Cloud infrastructure and cloud-native solutions with an accent on scalability, reliability, and security. Focus on integrating DevOps practices for continuous delivery and resolving complex cloud-related incidents.
Location: This position is onsite in New York City (Brooklyn area) 3 days per week, and remote 2 days per week. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must hold either U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident (Green Card) status.
Salary: $170,000-240,000 annually

What you will do
- Design and manage Google Cloud infrastructure components, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC networking, and IAM.
- Architect and optimize cloud environments for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Build and maintain cloud-native solutions leveraging GCP services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
- Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform and Python.
- Integrate DevOps practices for continuous delivery, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Google Cloud Monitoring and Logging.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizenship or Green Card status).
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Proficiency in code development and scripting in Python.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
- Experience with Pub/Sub, Data ingestion, cloud networking, security, and IAM best practices.
- Proficiency in Google Cloud services such as GKE (Kubernetes), Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and Cloud SQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Google Cloud Build, and DevOps practices.
- More than 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or similar roles.
Nice to have
- Experience contributing to packaged software libraries in open-source or industry repositories.
- Proficiency in front and back-end web application development stacks and frameworks, including APIs.
- Experience with data/analytics/machine learning tools like Google Dataflow, Looker Core, BQML, VertexAI.
