VP of Data Architecture (Fintech): Leading and driving hirify.global’s enterprise data architecture direction with an accent on modernization, secure, and scalable technology ecosystems. Focus on shaping architectural decisions, advancing AWS cloud maturity, and overseeing the definition of enterprise consumption standards for operational, analytical, and AI use cases.

Location: Remote (US nationwide). Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.

Salary: $166,900.00 - $242,050.00

What you will do

• Lead and develop the enterprise data architecture function and talent.
• Own and drive the enterprise data architecture strategy and direction, ensuring alignment with modernization priorities.
• Define enterprise patterns for data movement, processing, storage, and consumption across various use cases (operational, analytical, AI).
• Communicate architectural direction to executives, driving decisions that balance risk, cost, stability, and speed.
• Sponsor modernization of legacy data capabilities and advance AWS-based cloud maturity.
• Define and drive API-first and event-driven patterns for data integration and access.

Requirements

• Minimum ten (10) years relevant IT architecture experience, including at least four (4) years of direct people management experience.
• Strong executive acumen and communication skills, including framing tradeoffs for decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the retirement, wealth management, recordkeeping, or financial services domain.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-first architectural patterns, reliability, and operability practices.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data consumption patterns (BI/reporting, API/data services, advanced analytics) and security-by-design fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related systems or business field.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift) and distributed processing patterns.
• Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures.
• Experience shaping enterprise API strategies and CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-native runtime environments (Kubernetes) and modern observability tools.
• Experience partnering with innovation teams to implement analytics or GenAI capabilities.
