Principal Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Serve as the technical authority for core product areas, ensuring architecture supports business objectives.
• Establish organization-wide technical standards and architectural patterns for security, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor and lead Tech Leads and senior engineers, fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
• Oversee and approve high-level architectural proposals and design documents.
• Define and communicate the overall architectural vision and strategy to engineering teams.
• Report on architectural roadmap progress, risks, and technical insights to executive leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years as a hands-on architect.
• Proven track record with high-scale distributed systems (Microservices, Event-Driven) in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Deep expertise in Scala (or Java), Play, Kafka, Flink, Pulsar, and S3.
• Experience building Multi-Agent Systems and working with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) using orchestration tools like LangGraph.
• Strong data architecture skills with SQL/NoSQL, specifically Elasticsearch, Postgres, Redis, and CockroachDB.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, observability, and DevOps practices for consumer-scale enterprise software.
