What you will do

• Provide architectural leadership to evolve the platform focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Plan and implement major technical projects in collaboration with Engineering and Product Management.
• Define and execute technical strategies, including the pragmatic adoption of AI/LLM capabilities.
• Lead the design and maintenance of robust APIs and Micro Frontends (MFEs).
• Drive "build vs buy" decisions for key stack components like CMS and analytics tooling.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion best-in-class engineering practices.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional software development experience.
• 10+ years in technical leadership roles and 3+ years at the Architect or Principal level.
• Expertise in SOA, distributed systems, and high-traffic e-commerce environments.
• Deep understanding of microservices, MFEs, RESTful APIs, and caching strategies.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Python, Node, PHP, or Go.
• Proficiency with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities via providers like OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Knowledge of e-commerce CMS, Search, and PIM systems.
