TL;DR

Senior Counsel, Commercial (SaaS): Supporting hirify.global's Americas sales team by reviewing and negotiating customer agreements and providing legal support for revenue-generating activities with an accent on complex cross-border transactions and SaaS/software licensing. Focus on advising on relevant regulatory and compliance developments and developing scalable legal workflows for rapid revenue growth.

Location: Remote (United States, with a preference for Pacific Time Zone (PST))

Salary: $231,500 – $254,000 USD (US Premium Markets)

What you will do

  • Support the go-to-market team by reviewing and negotiating customer contracts, primarily for the Americas sales team.
  • Act as a solutions-oriented business partner, providing pragmatic legal counsel to the Americas sales team.
  • Lead complex cross-border transactions with sophisticated counterparties across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and advise on relevant regulatory, compliance, or legal developments impacting the business in the Americas region.
  • Provide training and enablement to internal stakeholders on legal issues and contract processes.
  • Maintain and update legal agreements, policies, and templates, and improve scalable workflows for revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Law degree and member in good standing in the US.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience practicing with both a law firm and in-house at a high-growth technology company.
  • Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and closing complex commercial software and SaaS agreements with enterprise customers, partners, and resellers.
  • Strong understanding of commercial legal issues related to SaaS and software licensing (data privacy, security, intellectual property, open-source, revenue recognition, and tax).
  • Excellent judgment and business orientation, with the ability to translate legal risk into practical commercial advice.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and management skills to build trust with sales teams and stakeholders.

  • International legal experience supporting APAC.
