TL;DR

Senior Engineer (SaaS): Driving and leading large-scale projects, delivering impactful features, and maintaining high engineering standards for a social media and influencer marketing platform with an accent on architectural planning, system design, and continuous codebase improvement. Focus on solving complex, cross-team challenges, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions across frontend and backend systems, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Hybrid (Chicago, Illinois, United States) or Remote (United States)

Salary: $145,000 – $165,000 USD

What you will do

  • Scope, plan, and lead delivery of large-scale features and roadmap initiatives.
  • Lead technical problem-solving for complex, cross-team challenges and production issues.
  • Continuously improve the codebase by upholding high standards for code reviews, architecture, and testing.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to align on priorities and delivery.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching, pairing, and feedback.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, frameworks, architectures, and promote Agile best practices.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of progressive software engineering experience (leadership required).
  • In-depth knowledge of modern software development practices and architectures.
  • Strong track record of scoping, delivering, and evolving large-scale features.
  • Experience with both frontend and backend technologies.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills and strategic problem-solving ability with adaptability.
