What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve robust full-stack services and applications, including system, API, and data modeling for high-traffic travel experiences.
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex features and services in a cloud-based environment.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence by setting standards for code quality, testing, observability, and security.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve product outcomes.
• Contribute as a fungible full-stack engineer across multiple product and service areas, managing technical debt.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience designing and implementing backend services (RESTful or GraphQL APIs) and modern web frontends.
• Demonstrated ability to own the health, reliability, and performance of services, including monitoring and incident participation.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and associated frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.

Nice to have

• Ability to leverage AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to accelerate development.
• Advanced backend development skills using Kotlin for high-performance GraphQL services.
• Experience building Web UI using TypeScript/React with strong component proficiency.
• Track record of improving operational excellence through observability, performance optimization, and resilient design for high-traffic applications.
• Demonstrated leadership in shaping technical direction for a team or domain and mentoring engineers.
• Familiarity with experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven decision making, including evaluating AI-driven features.
