Salary: USD $139,900 – $304,200 per year

What you will do

• Set technical direction and drive execution for Copilot Shopping experiences end-to-end, ensuring high frontend quality.
• Lead architecture across client (web/mobile), services/APIs, data contracts, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science to define metrics, run experiments, and iterate based on outcomes.
• Drive engineering excellence via design/code reviews, testing strategy, and CI/CD.
• Own live-site health, improving observability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Decompose ambiguous problems, align stakeholders, and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in owning architecture and execution across multiple components/teams.
• Solid experience building modern client experiences (web and/or mobile) and collaborating across tiers.
• Experience designing and evolving client–server contracts and service integrations (e.g., REST/JSON, GraphQL, SSE/WebSockets).
• Track record of improving reliability, performance, and operational excellence, including measurement and experimentation at scale.
