TL;DR

Product Owner (Fintech): Defining, building, and optimizing digital propositions for 'Life Events' within banking, focusing on creating customer-centric products and digital journeys. Focus on developing the first MVP for new life events, taking features through the end-to-end workflow, and ensuring propositions deliver real value.

Location: Hybrid, requiring at least two days per week in the Leeds office.

Salary: £59,850 - £66,500

What you will do

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Life Events Propositions.
  • Build, manage, and prioritize a clear backlog aligned to customer needs and Group objectives.
  • Use data, insight, and research to understand customer behaviour and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with engineering, design, analytics, and policy teams to deliver high-quality features and experiences.
  • Track KPIs, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement across propositions.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the bank to ensure alignment and effective governance.

Requirements

  • Experience in product ownership or product management in a digital setting.
  • Experience prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Good understanding of agile toolsets such as Jira/Jira Align and comfort working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to simplify complex financial journeys.
  • Confident using data and insight to guide decisions and shape priorities (e.g., Adobe Analytics).
  • Effective communicator able to influence and collaborate across teams and seniority levels.

  • Relevant experience within the Financial Services industry.
