Payment Operations & Risk Analyst (FinTech)

TL;DR

Payment Operations & Risk Analyst (FinTech): Monitoring and evaluating fraud and merchant portfolio risks with an accent on identifying high-risk merchants and patterns of abuse. Focus on investigating escalated cases, conducting risk reviews, and improving risk reporting.

Location: Hybrid, must be able to work from the Dublin office 3 days per week

What you will do

• Monitor and evaluate fraud and merchant portfolio risks using internal and external tools.
• Identify high-risk merchants, investigate escalated account suspensions, and assess risk at onboarding.
• Make decisions to approve, reject, or escalate users for further information.
• Maintain and improve current risk reporting.
• Partner with Payments & Customer Operations to resolve client issues and identify fraud rings.
• Contribute to designing, implementing, and monitoring new risk methodologies and metrics.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in evaluating and mitigating merchant risk for loss and/or fraud.
• Knowledge of payment processing, underwriting, financial statements, and basic bank and association rules.
• Strong experience working with risk and payments tools such as Sift, Sardine, Stripe, Plaid, and Adyen.
• Experience using data to back up assumptions and make recommendations.
• Collaborative, curious, and autonomous in decision-making.
