Accountant (EdTech)

Accountant (Finance): Managing month-end closing, payroll, and revenue recognition for a global tech learning platform with an accent on US and European GAAP compliance. Focus on ensuring accurate royalty computations, performing GL reconciliations, and supporting financial statement audits.

Location: Hybrid - Must be based in Dublin, Ireland (on-site Wednesday and Thursday)

What you will do

• Perform month-end closing procedures, including the preparation of journal entries and GL account reconciliations.
• Manage and maintain a detailed understanding of different European payrolls.
• Review revenue transactions and related contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition.
• Calculate and perform reviews of royalty payments to authors to ensure accurate computation.
• Assist with the implementation of new systems and support financial statement audits.
• Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analysis as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of related or equivalent accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US and various European GAAP.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualification preferred.
• US Multinational accounting experience preferred but not essential.

Nice to have

• Understanding of new revenue recognition guidance as prescribed under ASC 606.
