TL;DR
Customer Development & Commercial Strategy Director (Fintech): Leading and shaping new business opportunities by defining and overseeing engagements, resourcing, and delivery approaches to address clients' challenges in the Energy Transition & Utilities sector with an accent on digital-enabled business transformation and client relationship management. Focus on contributing to propositions, leading client engagements, and supporting the expansion of the client base across electricity and gas transmission and distribution networks.
Location: While the office base location is London, Manchester, or Glasgow, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.
Salary: c.£2m consulting revenues (Director)

What you will do
- Shape and win new opportunities, defining and overseeing engagements, resourcing, delivery approach and competitive commercial model to successfully deliver the change that solves our clients’ most pressing challenges.
- Define and deliver digital-enabled business transformation engagements to implement our clients’ strategic initiatives.
- Lead and manage teams to achieve high-quality delivery focused on client value.
- Contribute to propositions, in conjunction with our global network, to enable success in the market.
- Build strong, long-lasting client relationships as a trusted advisor at all levels.
- Contribute to growing and leading the Energy Transition & Utilities business and team.
Requirements
- Significant experience gained within Consulting within the Energy & Utilities sector, including with one or many of electricity and gas transmission and distribution businesses, energy retailers, central market bodies, water companies and nuclear businesses.
- Exceptional consulting skills, meaning experience of working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but with a Consulting background.
- Substantial business development experience, with the ability to leverage your personal network and the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, to generate at least £4m pa of consulting revenues and enable larger revenues across our business.
- Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
- Experience of proposition building and delivery, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- The ability to collaboratively create winning solutions - taking a client issue, and working with the client, account team and across to create a solution that the client can approve.
