What you will do

• Ensure 24x7 reliability and availability of critical databases hosted on AWS and Azure.
• Implement and enforce industry-standard processes and policies across QA, DEV, and production environments.
• Participate in database architecture and design to support critical applications.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and application development teams to implement solutions.
• Lead projects independently and provide routine status reports to leadership.
• Adapt to changing technologies and engage in DevOps practices and automation.

Requirements

• Must have 8+ years of experience in database engineering and operations.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, AWS Aurora, and SQL Server.
• Experience building and managing cloud databases on AWS and Azure.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues in real time and work on 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Jenkins, CloudFormation, and scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
• English language proficiency at least B2 level.
