Cloud Senior Consultant (Cloud)

TL;DR

Cloud Senior Consultant (DevOps/Cloud): Designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and automated build and deployment pipelines with an accent on security, compliance, and infrastructure optimization. Focus on implementing CI/CD automation, managing infrastructure as code, and troubleshooting production issues across various cloud providers.

Location: Whilst you will have London, Manchester or Glasgow as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice. All UK employees are eligible to request flexible working arrangements. To be considered for this position you must hold active SC (Security Check) Clearance, or be eligible to gain this level of clearance.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop automated build and deployment pipelines and implement monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Be responsible for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, build, deployment, and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code.
• Provide operational support including application monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.
• Coach and mentor colleagues, helping the team to grow skills and learn new technologies.
• Contribute to business development, internal initiatives, and continuous learning and development.

Requirements

• Must hold active SC (Security Check) Clearance or be eligible to gain this level of clearance.
• 5+ years experience with multiple cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, OCI, AWS) and DevOps processes.
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Extensive experience with containerisation, virtualisation, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Extensive experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Packer, Chef).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Cloudwatch) and scripting (bash/shell).
• Experience with version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and working in an agile team.
• Strong soft skills for consulting, including time/risk management, problem-solving, and empathy.
