Salary: $165,600–$272,300 per year (San Francisco Bay area range)

What you will do

• Lead post-training data collection efforts including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and management.
• Serve as primary data operations point of contact for multimodal and multilingual AI research initiatives.
• Manage data operations across human data vendors, including tracking purchase orders, spend, and milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Business Development, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Engineering.
• Drive operational excellence and scalable data programs supporting AI research.
• Advance AI frontier responsibly while embodying Microsoft’s culture and values.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or near Mountain View, United States with onsite work expectation
• Master’s degree with 4+ years or Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years in strategy, finance, data operations, or related fields.
• Proven experience leading large cross-functional programs and managing AI data vendor relationships.
• Expertise in data operations for AI research and budget/impact tracking systems.
• Experience with large-scale multimodal data programs for AI research.

• Experience in procurement program management or finance systems integration.
