Fullstack Software Engineer (Node/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Design and implement features and services for key products, primarily on the backend while contributing across the full stack.
• Build high-throughput, scalable systems with privacy, resilience, performance, and reliability incorporated from the start.
• Own the software lifecycle from technical design and implementation through monitoring, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain code quality, test coverage, operational visibility, technical documentation, and architecture review practices.
• Participate in the on-call rota and help break complex problems into maintainable deliverables.
• Promote DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code and deployment ownership.

Requirements

• Experience building high-throughput web systems or distributed services.
• Strong programming skills in Node and TypeScript, with working knowledge of Python.
• Experience across the full software lifecycle, from design to deployment and support.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-native infrastructure, including CI/CD and Terraform.
• Awareness of cloud security best practices and a pragmatic approach to testing, quality, and documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, service-to-service communication, and API lifecycle management.
• Deep knowledge of Terraform, AWS, infrastructure automation, observability, distributed tracing, Grafana, monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience with Databricks, ML workflows, stream processing, event-driven data pipelines, or data ingestion frameworks.
• Knowledge of distributed data modelling, pipeline orchestration, and data quality or governance tooling.
• Experience building internal tools with a user-centered mindset and collaborating with product and design teams.
