What you will do

• Lead and manage multiple engineering teams (org of 15-25 people), including 2-3 Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Senior Engineers.
• Be accountable for technical and delivery outcomes for your area, supporting and developing engineering talent.
• Structure, organize, support, and challenge your team to deliver on their mission.
• Partner with senior engineers to drive technical initiatives and raise engineering practices.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to company-wide managerial and technical standards.

Requirements

• Strong technical and delivery background, with previous experience as a software engineer.
• Experience directly managing at least 2-3 Engineering Managers and leading organizations of around 20 engineers.
• Adept at delivery and execution, taking accountability across squads.
• Ability to foster a high bar for engineering excellence.
• Experience in people leadership, coaching, and developing careers.
• Must be based in the New York area for a flexible hybrid schedule.

Hiring process

• Initial informal recruiter call.
• Initial Call (1 hour) with a Senior Engineering Manager or Director focusing on people, product delivery, and technical leadership.
• Loop Stage (3.5 hours) consisting of 3 x 60 min interviews (Team and Org Management, System Design, Behavioral) and one 30 min reverse interview.
