Software Development Engineer Intern (Embedded Development)

Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Berlin or Dresden, Germany or Belgium

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices in a distributed environment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective distributed systems.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity.
• Practice CI/CD principles and participate in operational responsibilities, including on-call duties.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM fields.
• Expected graduation between October 2026 and September 2029.
• Must be available for a full-time, onsite internship (40 hours/week) for 3 to 6 months.
• Demonstrated experience with at least one programming language (Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript).
• Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

Nice to have

• Previous technical internship or project experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS), SQL/NoSQL databases, or open-source contributions.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
