Junior Functional Analyst

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work with at least eight days per month in the office

What you will do

• Support the transition and development of existing and new tax and accounting software products.
• Work as part of an agile development team focused on timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Gather information from customers and stakeholders and build business and domain knowledge.
• Create analysis models based on business requirements and explain deliverables and rationale to the development team.
• Explain technical limitations to business users and provide training for new applications and features.
• Communicate opportunities, risks, and issues to the Product Owner and support the ownership of project areas.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a similar functional analysis role.
• Master’s-level thinking or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluent English and the ability to produce documentation in English.
• Experience with traditional analysis methodologies and their application in an agile context.
• Understanding of software technicalities, limitations, basic testing, and test automation.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem analysis, and ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the accounting and tax domain.
• Willingness to support and mentor junior colleagues.
