Functional Analyst

TL;DR

Functional Analyst (Fintech): Supporting the digital transformation of tax and accounting software products with an accent on gathering requirements, creating analysis models, and explaining deliverables to the development team. Focus on building strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding software technicalities, and mentoring junior colleagues.

Location: Hybrid (8 days/month) at our office in Porto, Portugal.

What you will do

• Participate in an agile development team focused on timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Focus on existing and new products and being involved in new initiatives.
• Learn business jargon and building domain knowledge to better assist customers.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to efficiently gather information.
• Create analysis models based on requirements.
• Explain analysis deliverables to the development team.

Requirements

• Master’s level thinking or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Fluent in English and able to produce English documentation.
• Familiar with traditional analysis methodologies and able to apply them in an agile context.
• Able to build a vision around documentation and analysis deliverables.
• Understands software technicalities and limitations and can translate them to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the accounting and tax domain is a plus.
