Salary: USD $139,900 – $274,800 per year (U.S.) or USD $188,000 – $304,200 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area)

What you will do
- Partner with stakeholders to define user requirements for complex safety scenarios, including demonstrations of security attacks.
- Provide technical leadership for identifying dependencies and developing design documents for Microsoft Edge and underlying AI platforms.
- Mentor others and lead by example in producing extensible and maintainable code used across the company.
- Leverage deep subject-matter expertise to lead multiple product's project and release plans.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers and monitoring systems for novel security vulnerabilities.
- Proactively seek and adapt to new trends and technical solutions to improve product security, efficiency, observability, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience.
- Proficiency in coding with languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud background check.
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML security or equivalent recent security expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI knowledge in practice, including prompt engineering, grounding, or model fine-tuning.
- Demonstrated ability to both discover novel security flaws in systems and build safeguards to mitigate them.
- Experience with modern browsers, especially Chromium-based browsers.
- Experience representing a team in multi-stakeholder environments.
