Software Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Must be based in London, UK, or Oslo, Norway, and able to work at least 2–3 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Lead and support a team of four engineers building hirify.global Content Agent.
• Partner with product management and design to own strategy, roadmap, and execution.
• Organize and prioritize engineering work for maximum impact while balancing technical quality and delivery speed.
• Guide the development of AI capabilities, including LLM integrations and agentic workflows for structured content operations.
• Work with engineering, product, and design leadership to establish scalable processes and facilitate collaboration.
• Support the growth and development of engineers while championing developer experience and usability for content creators.

Requirements

• Based in London, UK, or Oslo, Norway, with availability to work in the office 2–3 days per week.
• At least 1 year of engineering management experience and 4+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong technical background in TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern web technologies.
• Working knowledge of prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, model reliability techniques, embedding models, vector search, and grounding AI outputs in structured data.
• Experience shipping user-facing products at scale and leading teams building complex, extensible applications.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, clarify product direction, and understand software architecture considerations.
