Software Engineer, Developer Platform: Building and evolving a developer platform with an accent on SDKs, APIs, and tooling for AI integrations. Focus on designing robust, scalable backend services and improving developer experience for external and internal users.

Location: This role is hybrid (3-4 days a week in one of our SF Bay Area offices)

Salary: $140,000–$265,000 annually

hirify.global is a Work AI platform that provides intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents for enterprises.

What you will do

• Design and build SDKs and client libraries that developers use to integrate with hirify.global.
• Own and advance agent-focused tooling and SDKs, including MCP and related integrations.
• Define and maintain standards and conventions for hirify.global’s public REST APIs.
• Implement and harden platform and integration services in Go and occasionally Java, focusing on reliability and observability.
• Build and improve developer tooling and automation.
• Collaborate with security and SRE to design and operate authentication and authorization flows (e.g., OAuth2/OIDC).
• Shape and improve the developer experience on developers.hirify.global.com by contributing to documentation.
• Mentor more junior engineers or learn from battle-tested ones.

Requirements

• BA/BS in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building and shipping backend or platform systems with a strong interest in developer experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (ideally Golang), with experience in TypeScript, Python, and/or Java a plus.
• Experience with designing/maintaining SDKs, building agent/integration tooling, working with REST APIs/OpenAPI, and/or designing/integrating OAuth2/OIDC.
• A developer-centric mindset, caring about API ergonomics, SDKs, tooling, and documentation.
• Ability to thrive in a customer-focused, tight-knit, cross-functional environment.
• A proactive and positive attitude to lead, learn, troubleshoot, and take ownership.
