Software Engineer (Core Platform)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY; hybrid culture with in-person collaboration 4 days per week.

Targeted cash compensation: P2 $141,100–$190,900; P3 $166,600–$225,400; P4 $195,500–$264,500.

What you will do

• Build foundational services, APIs, and abstractions used by product and platform engineering teams.
• Own critical user authentication and authorization services.
• Develop data infrastructure and models powering compensation intelligence.
• Design generalized platform solutions for cross-product challenges.
• Lead large technical initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
• Build maintainable and scalable systems in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience building data-intensive applications.
• Experience with modern web technologies such as TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with data infrastructure, data pipelines or ETL, and data modeling.
• Strong product intuition and systems-thinking skills.
• Experience leading complex technical projects with ambiguity and numerous stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of the stack, including MySQL, Prisma, React, and GCP.

Nice to have

• ML or AI platform experience.
