Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Location: Remote-first role for candidates in the United States; company employees are located across the US. The listed location is Denver, CO.

Salary: $125,000–$200,000 USD per year, depending on location and experience.

What you will do

• Analyze product requirements and provide actionable feedback.
• Implement clean, maintainable features for investment and financial products.
• Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and scalable data solutions.
• Integrate with financial institutions and partners to support fund movement, balance tracking, and healthcare decisions.
• Maintain software quality through functional testing and automated unit tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience with a strong backend background.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance web applications, backend services, schemas, and software architectures.
• Experience with agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States.
