Salary: $148,000–$210,000 + bonus + benefits (US base salary range)

What you will do

• Own the technical design and implementation for a significant product capability or set of capabilities.
• Design and develop capabilities that leverage existing identity infrastructure (e.g., Okta).
• Scope tasks and set priorities for team members, driving execution through high-quality implementation.
• Facilitate team growth by guiding junior engineers and setting high standards in design reviews.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience in software engineering with 5+ years experience developing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure products and services in Go, Python, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
• Prior experience with cloud technologies like Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Azure, GitHub Actions, VSCode, Kubernetes, or Backstage.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design with strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills for deriving requirements from customers, articulating problem scope, and documenting proposed system designs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Identity & Access Management across GCP, Okta, Google Workspace.
• Strong working knowledge of microservices, software delivery platforms, DevSecOps, continuous integration, and release management processes.
• Experience working in a centralized developer platform team.
• Passion for developer experience with high empathy for users.
