Affiliate Java/Angular Tech Lead (Java/TypeScript/Angular): Leading the development and technical delivery of digital products and cross-cutting initiatives for clients with an accent on engineering quality, architecture, and team development. Focus on guiding technical decisions, implementing best practices across architecture, DevOps, performance, and security, and solving complex stakeholder and engineering challenges.
Location: Leeds, England, United Kingdom; hybrid work with 2 days per week in Leeds.

What you will do
- Lead and guide development teams delivering digital products and cross-cutting technical initiatives.
- Set and uphold engineering principles, best practices, and quality standards.
- Contribute engineering insight to strategy and architecture work and identify improvement opportunities.
- Mentor and coach junior team members to strengthen team capability.
- Address complex technical challenges through creative problem-solving and continuous learning.
- Consider client business priorities and stakeholder challenges when making technical decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead Engineer in a commercial development team.
- Expert knowledge of Java, TypeScript, and Angular, plus broader experience across development tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies and experience with agile methodologies.
- Experience implementing or owning architecture, DevOps, performance, or security practices.
- Understanding of engineering best practices such as TDD, SOLID, and XP.
