What you will do

• Lead a 75-person engineering division (projected to grow to 120) across OpenStack, Kubernetes, DBaaS, DNS, and developer platform services.
• Manage 5 engineering managers, each overseeing multiple cross-functional software engineering and DevOps teams.
• Drive delivery and operational excellence for highly interconnected cloud services.
• Facilitate cross-team coordination and ensure architectural alignment.
• Support technical decision-making and negotiate across the product-owner layer.
• Partner with the Director of Infrastructure for capacity and operational scalability planning.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing multiple engineering teams in a high-complexity cloud environment.
• Hands-on background in cloud infrastructure and platform operations, including Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS products with a deep understanding of DevOps practices.
• Excellent coordination and moderation skills across teams with technical interdependencies.
• English: Fluent and German: B1+ required.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to Berlin on a monthly basis.
